Trying New Things!

Sometimes trying new things is really hard, especially when you don't know where to start! For a long time I have been drawn to painting flowers and other objects, usually with a quote to go with them. However, recently some abstract works have really caught my eye and the patterns and colors that go along with them have really pulled me in and made me want to try my hand at making one! Even though I had no idea where to start I went ahead and used some leftover watercolor from a color palate I mixed for a previous painting and just started making huge strokes on the paper (potentially could have ended up much worse because of that, haha). These big, bold strokes reminded me that sometimes the best way to do something new is to go all in! If we just make small tiny strokes sometimes we end up with a picture that is cookie cutter, but when we make bold stokes we end up with something we love and something brand new! I cannot wait for more awesome things come out of using this new style! And while we wait for them, don't be afraid to try something new yourself! Go out and be bold with some colors in your life!
